About Omega Chi

"Serving the Entire Alabama Black Belt Area"

The Omega Chi Chapter was founded in 1957 in Selma, Alabama by 12 men that were dedicated to the Cardinal Principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. In 1963, the first line was made, they were; John Flakes, Willie C. Little, James F. May and Henry Reed. Since then, Omega Chi Chapter has released some of the most successful businessmen, politicians and educators into our society. The Chapter folded in the late 60's, and was revised in the mid 80's, in Selma, Alabama by Issac Howard, Anthony Harris, Frankie Peoples, Bruce Dozier, Joe Evans, Larrius Taylor, James Caldwell and Elvester Hobdy. The summer of 1985, the first line made after the revision of the chapter called Geniuses 8 (The Beginning). Several lines have been made since then and the chapter is still going strong and always remembering our motto "Friendship is Essential to the Soul'.
